Niagara 3000 Low-Z Power Noise Dissipation System

With the introduction of the Niagara3000, AudioQuest expands your capability to stop noise contamination and current compression. Almost all of the effective technology that distinguishes the award-winning Niagaras 5000 and 7000AQs patented AC Ground Noise-Dissipation System, Transient Power Correction, extremely wide-bandwidth Level-X linear filtering, and moreis here, but at a more accessible price.

Patented Ground-Noise Dissipation System

Greatly reduces ground-borne noise without compromising safety or creating low-level ground loops.

Transient Power Correction

Provides power amplifiers a current reservoir of over 55 amps peak (up to 25mS) for AC current transients.

Level-X Linear Noise-Dissipation Technology

Ensures the most consistent and widest bandwidth noise dissipation possible, without the inconsistent multi-node resonant peaking typically found in most AC power conditioners.

AQ-Formed AC RF Filtering Capacitors

Dramatically improve linearity and minimize distortions, while dissipating AC line and radio-coupled noise.

7 Low-Z NRG Series AC Power outlets:

2 High-Current Low-Z Power; 5 Level-X Linear-Filtered Power (source components) outlets.

Non-Sacrificial Surge Protection

Will accept multiple transient power surges and spikes up to 6000V or 3000A without damage.

Over-Voltage Shutdown with Automatic Reset

Enacts shutdown at approximately 17% above optimal AC input levels, until the incoming AC voltage returns to a safe range.

Niagara 3000s NRG-Series AC outlets not only feature superior grip and lower resistance thanks to beryllium copper, they also include thick Hanging-Silver plating to ensure the lowest impedance at radio frequencies, enabling superior noise dissipation. And, of course, like all Niagara products, the slim 2-RU Niagara 3000 features direction-controlled ultra-low-resistance solid wiring and filter inductors optimized for the highest efficiency noise-dissipation of radio frequencies.

Monsoon High-Current 15 AMP AC Power Cable – 3.28′ (1m)

Features

  • Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) & Long-Grain Copper (LGC) conductors
  • True-Concentric conductors minimize strand interaction & magnetic confusion
  • Ground noise dissipation technology
  • ZERO characteristic impedance (50Hz – 1MHz) enables uncompressed current transfer
  • Directionally controlled conductors

High-Purity True-Concentric PSC+ LGC Conductors

With only Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) on the outside, Monsoons conductors are essentially all PSC+ even though the conductor core is Long-Grain Copper (LGC). Both superior metal and conductor geometry greatly reduce ear-fatiguing Transient Intermodulation (TIM) Distortion.

Uncompressed High-Current Transfer

While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance in order to accommodate the demand for high current, a cables characteristic impedance is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress an audio-provoked transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and ZERO (no) characteristic impedance in order to deliver uncompressed high-current transients on demand.

Ground Noise-Dissipation

AC Ground wires provide protection from current-wiring faults, but they also act as antennas. Thus, they are subject to induced radio-frequency (RF) noise. This RF noise bypasses component power supplies and is typically coupled directly into a systems most sensitive audio/video circuits. AudioQuests patented Ground-Noise Dissipation greatly reduces this distortion, yielding unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest bandwidth (range) of radio frequencies possible. AQ’s unique circuit-topology utilizes a common-mode phase-cancelling array, in concert with proprietary dielectric materials which provide additional differential linear filtering.

Directionality

All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion. The correct direction is determined by listening to every batch of metal conductors used in every AudioQuest audio cable. When applicable, arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality. For most models of AQ cable, the arrows not only indicate the direction that optimizes metal-directionality as part of Noise-Dissipation, but also indicates non-symmetrical attachment of shield and GND in order to optimize full-system performance.
