The band de Dijk, named after the Amsterdam Zeedijk, released their ninth studio album, de Stand Van de Maan, in 1997. Their music, a mix of Dutch-language rock & roll and rhythm & blues, has since become a part of their live reputation among a number of popular with the general public. The Hot Haarlemmer Dijk Horns consisting of Roland Brunt (sax) and Mike Booth (trumpet) will also be present at de Stand Van de Maan. Because of their horn parts, songs such as ‘Let It Happen Tonight’, ‘Now Even Not’ and ‘Have Je Het Hart’, written at the request of the National Committee 4 and 5 May, get that little bit extra. With the exception of ‘Voor Een Dag Van Morgen’ (Hans Andreus), singer Huub van der Lubbe wrote all the songs for this album.
