Designed for intimate listening sessions with your favorite music on Compact Disc.
CDs may not be as poular as they once were, but we know there are many music enthusiasts out there with extensive CD collections who want to have the finest listening experience possible.
Arcam was a pioneer of Compact Disc technology practically from the beginning, debuting their Delta 70 CD player in 1986, which Arcam created and built from the ground up. Over the years, Arcam’s engineers have gathered extensive experience and expertise in manufacturing high-quality digital audio devices, and all of this knowledge has been put into the CD5.
New components and materials have been meticulously analyzed and reviewed to ensure optimal performance. The CD5 uses a superior ESS 9018 DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) to produce lifelike, immersive sound with depth, clarity, and remarkable detail.
The CD5 can play both FLAC and WAV encoded CDs, allowing for Hi-Res capabilities. The rear-mounted USB-A input may also play FLAC, WAV, WMA, MP3, and AAC music files (up to 24-bit/192kHz) from a USB flash drive or hard disc storage device.
Arcam’s CD5 offers a variety of audio outputs, including digital optical, digital coaxial, and analogue RCA, ensuring compatibility with any amplifier or AV receiver.
With its sleek design, all-aluminum shell, and sumptuous satin black finish, the CD5 has the appearance to match its high-performance capabilities.
Create the ideal CD-based system by pairing the CD5 with one of Arcam’s matching A5, A15, or A25 Radia series amplifiers.
