Don’t dismiss the sound quality of older DACs, they can and do sound extremely good. The 6922 tube output stage on the Music Hall dac25.3 offers awarm, rich, open sound. The DAC chips are the famedPCM 1796 with an 8x oversampling filter. The DAC can upsample to 192 kHz.

The 6922 single-ended analog output is complemented by a solid-state differential balanced output. You can 96 kHz or 192 kHz upsampling. There is also a headphone output with adjustable analog volume control.

The unit is housed in athick brushed aluminum fascia and the solid chassis that Music Hall is known for.
