The Shelter 901 III is part of the Legendary Line of cartridges from this Japanese company.

Shelter has been manufacturing high-end phono cartridges since 1986. All Shelter MC phono cartridges are hand-made at a workshop in Japan by adept craftspeople, then they are all inspected and quality assured by Yasuo Ozawa himself, the designer and founder of Shelter.

Legendary Line of traditional MC phono cartridges offer a smooth and gentle sound that is still infused with minute information.Features include analuminum alloy body housing, a simple motor structure, aluminum-clad boron cantilever, and elliptical diamond stylus tip.

The 901 III uses hard aluminum cantilever with line-contact diamond stylus chip,with the same structureas Harmony. The 901 III favors musicality over hunting down that every last bit of detail.
